Andrew Feldman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Prior to Co-founding SeaMicro, Andrew was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Crosslink Capital and at US Venture Partners. Before that, he was Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Force10 Networks, where he was responsible for marketing, product management, and business development. Prior to joining Force10, Andrew was Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Corporate Development for Riverstone Networks (Acquired by Alcatel) from inception through IPO. Prior to Riverstone, Andrew served as Senior Director for Worldwide Product Marketing and Product Management at Cabletron Systems. Andrew joined Cabletron through its acquisition of YAGO Systems. At YAGO, Andrew wrote the business plan and then as Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development, led marketing and strategic alliances. Andrew holds an M.B.A. and B.A. from Stanford University.


 

Gary Lauterbach, Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Gary brings 30 years of experience in the computer industry to SeaMicro. Most recently, at AMD, Gary was an AMD Fellow and one of five lead architects defining AMD's next generation high performance X86 processor. Prior to AMD, Gary was a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems for 12 years where he was Chief Architect of the Ultra-SPARC III and Ultra-SPARC IV microprocessors. At Sun Laboratories, he was Chief Architect of the DARPA HPCS peta-scale computing project where his innovative super computer architecture enabled Sun to win $50 million in funding from DARPA. Over the course of his career, Gary has designed and constructed operating system kernels, CAD tools, microprocessors, computer systems and radio-frequency receivers, and transmitters. Gary holds more than 35 issued patents in the areas of computing systems, processors, packaging technology, process control, and software algorithms. 


 

Anil Rao, Founder and Vice President, Product Management and Product Marketing

Anil brings more than 15 years of product management experience to SeaMicro. Most recently Anil was Director of Product Management and Marketing at Juniper Networks, where he lead business strategy, product definition, and product marketing for the $100+ million/year Application Acceleration business unit. Prior to Juniper, Anil was Director of Product Management at Force10 Networks where he played a key role in Force10's success in the largest data centers and carrier networks including Google, Yahoo! and Level3. Anil has also held senior product management positions at ONI (Ciena) and Procket Networks (Cisco), and senior engineering positions at AT&T and Nortel Networks where he substantially contributed to the design and development of internet routing and switching software. Anil holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at University of California Berkeley. He also received a Masters in Computer Science from Arizona State University.


 

John Turk, Vice President, Operations

John joined SeaMicro as the Vice President of Operations in September, 2009. John brings a wealth of experience in the high-tech industry and is responsible for supply chain, order fulfillment, manufacturing engineering, and post-sales service. Previous to SeaMicro, he spent five years as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Omneon, Inc., helping the company scale through dramatic growth to become a leader in the industry of video servers and storage.  Prior to Omneon, he spent seven years at Cisco Systems as a Director of Manufacturing, working across a broad product portfolio and diverse supply base. John holds an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from Wabash College.


 
Dr. Shivi Fotedar, Vice President, Software Engineering

Shivi brings to SeaMicro over 15 years of experience in the communication industry. Most recently Shivi was Director of Engineering at Brocade Communications, where he led software development in the IP Enterprise Division. Prior to Brocade, Shivi served as Director of Software at Force10 Networks where his team was responsible for the development of Force10's routing software and multiple generations of enterprise switches. Shivi began his career and then held management positions in the networking group at ATT/Lucent. Shivi holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.


 
 
Dhiraj Mallick, Vice President, Hardware

Dhiraj joined SeaMicro to lead Hardware Engineering. Dhiraj brings a proven track record of execution and more than 15 years experience in the computer and semiconductor industry. Prior to SeaMicro, he was Vice President of Engineering at MetaRAM, a VC-backed semiconductor startup, where he delivered into production two generations of products in 30 months. Prior to MetaRAM, Dhiraj spent 10 years at Advanced Micro Devices. He has held various technical and management roles in silicon engineering including: Director of the Global Microprocessor CAD Organization, VLSI design team lead for Opteron and Athlon64, was Program Manager for the Athlon64 product transition to 65nm, leader of the AMD SOC initiative, and also managed the end-of-life product development and test for the K6 family of products. Prior to AMD, he was at NexGen, an x86 startup company acquired by Advanced Micro Devices. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.


 

Peter Amirkhan, Vice President, Sales

Peter joined SeaMicro in February, 2010 to lead global sales using his more than 13 years of experience in technology sales and building global teams to bring new products to market. Prior to SeaMicro, Peter was the Vice President of Sales at Storspeed, a VC-backed network caching start-up where he led the effort to define a new market segment by introducing a technology that promised to revolutionize the way enterprise customers deployed I/O intensive storage solutions. Prior to Storspeed, Peter was the Vice President of Global Sales for BlueArc, a high performance Network Attached Storage company. During his 6 year tenure at BlueArc, Peter built and led a global field sales and support team that achieved 100% year over year sales growth leading to a S-1 filing in 2007.  Prior to BlueArc, Peter held various sales and sales management roles at Network Appliance. Peter began his career as a General Ledger Accountant for Clear Channel Communications and has a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Oregon.
