AMD SeaMicro SM15000 Server is OpenStack Certified
AMD’s SeaMicro SM15000™ is one of the first servers to complete OpenStack® Certification from Rackspace® with validated reference architectures for OpenStack Compute (“Nova in a Box”), OpenStack Object Storage (“Swift in a Rack”), and OpenStack Cinder Block Storage with external storage for Rackspace Private Cloud. All three solutions have been rigorously tested and validated by Rackspace. The SeaMicro SM15000 drastically simplifies the deployment and ongoing management for the reference architectures for OpenStack Compute, OpenStack Object Storage, and OpenStack Cinder Block Storage. It is the industry’s highest density, most energy efficient data center server solution.
AMD’s SeaMicro SM15000 is the simplest and fastest way for companies to deploy OpenStack. The certified solution replaces what typically requires multiple racks and saves up to 50 percent in energy consumption. It combines compute, networking, and storage in a single 10 RU system all linked by a highly efficient supercompute fabric to power the computing and storage needs of the next generation data center.
OpenStack Compute: Compatible for Nova’s architecture to scale horizontally and to integrate with legacy systems and third party technologies.
OpenStack Object Storage: Proven solution able to provide a massively scalable, redundant storage system validated by the Rackspace Private Certification team. In addition to above specifications, the Swift architecture features:
OpenStack Cinder Block Storage: Certified solution provides 64 servers with 512 computer cores for one of the highest density and most energy efficient compute solutions on the market today. This is used together with external ISCSI storage solutions to provide block storage capacity.
